about the event
Geoff retired in 2012 having been head gardener on the private estate of Mill Court near Alton, Hampshire since 1977.
As a head gardener running a small estate of 30 acres this meant he managed greenhouses, vegetable and fruit gardens, herbaceous and shrub borders as well as looking after the trees, ponds and natural features on the estate. For over twelve years he was a regular expert on LBCs Weekend Matters as one of the gardening team. He has also appeared on BBC Southern Counties Radio and Delta FM. He now enjoys sharing his knowledge to Gardeners Clubs and spreading the joy of gardening to others.
Geoff will be giving us an illustrated talk, showing us some of the pests and diseases we may find in your garden and also some of the good things that are of value in the garden.
